Dear President,

It gives me great pleasure, as vice president of the Social Area of FC Barcelona, to write to you with the wish that you might take part in the new challenge this season: the Festa Barça. With the knowledge that our social effort is provided by the collective support of our members and the unconditional help of the supporters club movement, I am convinced that this event will be a total success and will only be the first of many.

We are starting this new project, Festa Barça, to be held on the 20th, 21st, and 22nd of August, with the intention of making it a place of pilgrimage for all members and supporters that, beyond borders, share the love of the Barça colours. It will be an area, in a relaxed and exclusive environment, that will allow both members and supporters, to feel like Barça shareholders, in a context of leisure and relaxation.

This year the Festa Barça will also include three of the major events of the supporter’s club movement, the XXXIV World Supporters Club Meeting, the 32nd Supporters Club Congress, and the Football 7-a-side Tournament.

After a totally successful season in sporting  terms, the FC Barcelona Social Area are continuing to work on raising the image of the  Supporters Club brand  and to make Barça even greater. This is why we have worked during 2010/2011, to lay the foundation to develop the project Supporters Clubs for the XXI Century.

So, during the Supporters Club Congress, that this year will be held over two days, we’ll take the opportunity to take stock of this season and to present the most relevant future plans as far as the Supporters Clubs are concerned. We are living a time of special significance for this movement, and that's why we are encouraging you to participate in the events that will be of great importance to the FC Barcelona Supporters Clubs.   

With the illusion and the conviction that we’ll experience a few very special days around the Joan Gamper Trophy, I hope to be able to greet you personally and to count on your valuable participation.
